Botanica USA — Wisconsin Flora
A growing plant atlas that begins with Wisconsin, with state maps, plant pages, sourced photos, identification practice, and a personal field notebook.

01
The problem
Make plant identification something people can explore, see, save, and study instead of another long list of names.
02
What exists now
The current v10 version includes a United States map with Wisconsin open, a searchable Wisconsin plant catalog, individual plant pages, flashcards, a quiz, and a field notebook that stays saved in the browser.
03
Inside the work
- A United States map that opens each state collection, beginning with Wisconsin
- Plant search and filters that work in the browser
- Plant photos shown with their source and license
- Flashcards and a quiz for identification practice
- A field notebook that saves chosen plants on the device
04
What had to stay true
- Wisconsin is the first complete state collection
- Every photo must stay connected to its source and license
- New states should reuse plant and photo records instead of making duplicate copies
This page is based on the supplied v10 atlas file. There is not a separate public release yet.
